I don’t know what I would call this type of music, Jazz? Pop? I’m not sure, but a lot of my taste definitely falls within this sub-genre. My introduction to this song was a sample flip from a producer’s youtube video about 6 years ago, and I haven’t put either version down since. Beyond the overall samplebility (a word i just made up) of this song, the lyrics are what really drew me in for so long. This will be a generally short posting, because this song has me in sermon mode and I want to spare you all from too much of that.
But you will indeed get some. I had a great commune with the holy ghost on this fine Sunday night, so I will prophesy into your life the same blessings. Whatever it is you think you are lacking, the best attractor (and best for your peace of mind) is to stop yearning for it and prepare yourself in every other characteristic. You will be fulfilled in ways you never imagined. You think you know what you need, until you actually get what you need, and then you realize.
This doesn’t relate to only love, although it does definitely apply there. But, for any good thing in life that is not in your immediate control, it doesn’t matter if you’re looking or not. When it is time, it will come for you, you just have to get yourself ready. Im busy preparing for my blessing right now, I hope its a G-wagon, but i’ll take whatever God has in store.
I was alone thinking I was just fine
I wasn't looking for anyone to be mine
I thought love was just a fabrication
A train that wouldn't stop at my station
Home alone, that was my consignment
Solitary confinement
So when we met I was skirting around you
I didn't know I was looking for love until I found you
